Collection: MATTE VS SHINE

Two finishes, one shelf. Whether you want a natural matte look or a polished shine, this is where the choice gets easy. Every product here is built for control, texture and results that hold through the day. Part of our men's hair styling products.

Matte or Shine: What's the Difference?

Shine reads as product; matte reads as hair. A high-shine pomade gives you a slick, deliberate look — the classic barbershop finish, combed and polished. A matte formula does the opposite: it absorbs light instead of reflecting it, which makes hair look denser and the style look like it happened by itself.

Neither is better. It depends on the cut, the occasion, and how much you want people to notice the work.

Which Finish for You?

Go matte for textured crops, messy quiffs and anything that shouldn't look styled — and if your hair is on the finer side, since cutting the shine makes it look fuller. Go shine for slick backs, side parts and sharp comb lines, or any time you want the style to read as deliberate.

Plenty of men keep both on the shelf and pick by the day.
